How to Keep Your Skin Looking Great on the Go

Whether you're jet-setting around the globe or just running errands around town, being out and about is hard on your skin. If you’re serious about looking good, you'll need to grab more than your cell phone, wallet, keys, and lipstick on your way out the front door. To make sure you're prepared, ask yourself the following questions before you leave the house:

Am I sun-proof? We can’t stress enough how important sun protection really is. Over time, exposure to the sun’s UV rays can cause something called “photoaging,” and it's not pretty. Wrinkles deepen, spider veins appear, and your lips lose color and fullness. Whether you’re on the beach in Saint-Tropez or just taking the kids out for an hour at the playground, you should always wear sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15.

Am I hydrated? If it were up to us, all first-class plane tickets would come with complementary facials and free cocktails. Sadly, this isn’t the case. The pressurization in an airplane cabin results in drastically reduced humidity, which can dry out your skin. Additionally, while bustling, big-city destinations make for fun vacations, the pollutants that you'll find in city air can further deplete your skin of moisture.

If you’re planning on doing some globetrotting, packing a good moisturizer in your carry-on is essential. H2V Protect moisturizer fits that bill nicely, providing both light hydration and an SPF of 15 so that your skin is already shielded from harmful UV rays. You can hit the town as soon as you land.

Is everything the right size? If you’ll be traveling by plane, make absolutely certain the skincare products in your carry-on don’t exceed the TSA’s size regulations. (They change more often than you’d think, so always double check.) There’s nothing more irritating than being forced to toss an expensive product and then being stuck on vacation without it.

Many stores now sell empty travel-sized bottles in which you can store your favorite beauty products, but H2V’s travel kit takes care of all of that for you. It's a complete travel-sized skincare regimen in a chic little cosmetic bag.

From the pollutants in city air to the dry atmosphere of an airplane and the scorching sun at the beach, a woman about town must be prepared for all manner of skin irritants.
