In 2025, Burke Williams proudly re-launched the Burke Williams Academy, offering complimentary CEU courses to our massage therapists as part of our ongoing commitment to professional growth and excellence. With two courses already completed and our Shiatsu program wrapping up in June, we’re excited to introduce the passionate instructors behind these transformative classes.

CorinneCorinne Clinton (Advanced Pregnancy)

Corinne Clinton has been a massage therapist since 1997, bringing over two decades of experience with a specialization in prenatal massage. She trained at the California Healing Arts College in Santa Monica and has continued her education through advanced coursework at South Bay Massage College, IPSB, Hands on Healing, and with Sparrow Harrington, along with mentorship from a doula and massage educator.

Interestingly, Corinne’s path into massage therapy wasn’t meticulously planned. She entered the field on a whim at a young age, simply thinking, “I bet I could do that.” What began as a curiosity quickly evolved into a deeply meaningful career.

She discovered her passion for prenatal massage while working in a chiropractic office that gradually shifted its focus to pregnant clients. There, she witnessed firsthand the impact bodywork could have, not only on comfort during pregnancy, but on birth outcomes as well. Supporting women through such a transformative time became central to her work.

Corinne is known for her supportive, engaging teaching style. She focuses on making material approachable by addressing student apprehension, fostering connection, and combining visual, hands-on, and interactive learning. She believes great teaching comes from passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to continual growth.

Her approach is also shaped by the long-term relationships she’s built throughout her career. She credits her long-standing clients, some of whom she has worked with consistently for over 25 years, as instrumental in refining her work through honest feedback and ongoing trust.

In her classes, Corinne is passionate about shifting common misconceptions around prenatal massage. She emphasizes that these clients are not fragile and can benefit greatly from thoughtful, therapeutic pressure. She also highlights the versatility of side-lying work, not just for pregnancy, but as a valuable technique in many treatment scenarios.

Her goal is to build confidence in therapists while deepening their understanding of the prenatal body: what we can do, what we should avoid, and most importantly, why. She hopes to inspire more therapists to embrace this work so that pregnant clients can receive the level of care and support they truly need.

Corinne shares that she is incredibly proud of the course she’s developed, describing it as a deeper dive into how massage can positively affect change during pregnancy. We’re fortunate to have her guiding therapists through this important and impactful specialty.

Vision

Vision Taylor (Manual Lymphatic Drainage)

Vision graduated from Parker University in Dallas, Texas, and later earned her Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) certification through Emerald Bodywork Education. She has been practicing MLD for the past three years and brings both clinical experience and an engaging teaching style into the classroom.

Vision believes learning should be alive. Her teaching philosophy centers on interaction rather than lecture; building lessons alongside students rather than simply delivering information to them. Through conversation, repetition, hands-on practice, and a healthy dose of humor, she creates an environment where students engage both body and mind. When learning feels good, it sticks; and when it sticks, confidence grows.

Vision emphasizes clarity, patience, and curiosity. She strives to make complex concepts simple without watering them down, while modeling the humility and curiosity necessary to continue learning as a practitioner. Her lessons blend interactive lectures, real-time dialogue, and practical application to help students fully embody the work.

What Vision loves most about teaching is witnessing the moment when understanding clicks, the shift from hesitation to capability. Her passion for MLD comes from its intentionality: a system that is simple in principle yet powerful in impact. Gentle, deliberate touch can create meaningful change, proving that effective work does not have to be forceful to be profound.

Vision’s goal is for students to leave her course confident in their ability to practice MLD with clarity and precision. Beyond mastering technique, she hopes students feel empowered to develop their own rhythm and flow, so the work becomes not only correct, but truly their own.

David

David Tang (Shiatsu)

David has been practicing massage therapy since 2006, specializing in Shiatsu and holistic approaches to emotional and energetic well-being. His journey into bodywork began during a pivotal career crossroads, when he came across the Shiatsu Massage School of California in Santa Monica. What started as a search for a new path quickly became a clear calling, one that shaped both his specialty and his philosophy.

Throughout his career, David has been especially impacted by working with clients seeking support for emotional wellness. Helping clients find ease not only in their bodies, but in their emotional state, has been central to the evolution of his practice and technique.

His work is deeply influenced by Esoteric Acupuncture, a modality that has brought a profound layer of understanding to his approach. While traditionally practiced with needles, David integrates these principles through acupressure, allowing him to apply its benefits within massage therapy.

David’s teaching is rooted in the principles of Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He emphasizes that Shiatsu goes beyond physical technique; it works to balance and harmonize the body’s energetic system, helping clients reconnect with a deeper sense of calm and internal alignment.

He is particularly passionate about sharing the philosophy behind the work. For David, Shiatsu and TCM are not just modalities, but a way of life; one that fosters connection to our natural life force and encourages living in harmony with it.

His goal is to help therapists not only to understand the mechanics of Shiatsu, but to experience its deeper intention, so they can bring a more grounded, intentional presence into their work.
